固态电池产业化就在眼前?

  3月26日,智己汽车联席CEO刘涛在社交媒体上称,凭借纳米级固态电解质等独家专利技术,智己L6所采用的电池将成为行业首个准900V超快充固态电池,可在更短时间完成近千公里的补能。更安全的固态电解质,从电芯层面就保证电池的超高等级安全,将实现整包L0无热蔓延、不起火。

  除了智己,丰田、本田、长安、广汽、一汽解放等都在将固态电池量产装车提上日程。

  固态电池与快充补能技术已经成为电动汽车新的技术竞逐方向。

  事实上,在角逐下一代电池技术方面,不仅中国企业之间竞相逐鹿,全球主要汽车国家,也在押注,希望在新一轮技术产业变革中掌握主动权或优势地位。

  2023年以来,全球全固态电池技术的竞争日趋激烈。从全球固态电池产业布局来看,中国的企业最多;其次是日本,日本企业虽然数量不多,但是实力很强。“日本是举国家之力推动全固态电池商业化。日本有官-产-学联盟,丰田、本田、日产三家车企,既做全固态电池研发,又做整车生产,在电池与整车性能匹配结合方面比较有优势。其中丰田起步最早、研发最深,日产、本田近期发布了各自试生产和产品上线的时间节点。”中国科学院院士欧阳明高介绍道。

  在固态电池研发方面,韩国的LG新能源、Sk On、三星SDI也磨刀霍霍。三家电池商在全固态电池技术方面也取得了实质性的进展,尤其是三星SDI。近日,三星SDI公布了他们最新的Super-Gap固态电池技术:性能比锂离子电池提升40%左右,拥有最高900Wh/L的能量密度,且可以在9分钟内完成80%充电,拥有长达20年的超长寿命,预计新电池在2027年实现量产。

  美国方面,主要以初创电池企业为主,背后有着学术、车企和资本等多维支撑,例如Solid Power和宝马合作,Quantum Scape和大众合作,产业化时间预计在2027年-2030年。

  各国、各车企、电池企业之所以竞相研发固态电池,主要是固态电池(主要指全固态电池)一旦产业化,就会改变现有的电动汽车产业格局,并开辟电动航空等新兴领域,这是一个在全球都具有引领性的技术变革。

  4月27-28日,第五届新能源汽车及动力电池(CIBF2024重庆)国际交流会将在山城重庆隆重召开。本届峰会以“‘芯’存高远,终成千里”为主题,聚焦固态电池、新材料体系电池等前沿电池技术及快充补能技术交流。

  届时,来自中国科学院、中国工程院的专家院士,以及长安汽车、广汽埃安、蔚来汽车、吉利汽车等主机厂,宁德时代、弗迪电池、亿纬锂能、瑞浦兰钧、力神电池、正力新能、PowerCo SE、SES AI、卫蓝新能源、清陶能源等电池企业,以及当升科技、杉杉科技、贝特瑞、容百科技、万润新能、宏工科技、赢合科技、艾默生等材料及锂电装备企业代表将齐聚重庆,共同探讨前沿电池技术产业化、快充补能技术迭代等话题,把脉产业发展路径。

In addition to Zhiji, Toyota, Honda, Changan, GAC, FAW Jiefang, and others are all putting the mass production and installation of solid-state batteries on the agenda.

Solid state batteries and fast charging and energy replenishment technology have become new directions for electric vehicle technology competition.

In fact, in the competition for next-generation battery technology, not only Chinese companies are competing with each other, but major automotive countries around the world are also betting to seize the initiative or advantageous position in the new round of technological industry transformation.

Since 2023, the competition in global solid-state battery technology has become increasingly fierce. From the perspective of global solid-state battery industry layout, China has the most enterprises; Next is Japan, where although there are not many Japanese companies, their strength is very strong. "Japan is promoting the commercialization of all solid state batteries with the strength of the country. There is an official industry school alliance in Japan, and Toyota, Honda, and Nissan are three automobile enterprises, which not only do research and development of all solid state batteries, but also do vehicle production. They have advantages in the combination of battery and vehicle performance. Among them, Toyota is the earliest and the most in-depth in research and development. Nissan and Honda recently released their respective time nodes for trial production and product launch." Ouyang Minggao, academician of the CAS Member, introduced.

In terms of solid-state battery research and development, LG New Energy, Sk On, and Samsung SDI from South Korea are also sharpening their swords. Three battery manufacturers have also made substantial progress in solid-state battery technology, especially Samsung SDI. Recently, Samsung SDI announced their latest Super Cap solid-state battery technology: performance is about 40% better than lithium-ion batteries, with a maximum energy density of 900Wh/L, and can complete 80% charging in 9 minutes, with an ultra long lifespan of up to 20 years. The new battery is expected to be mass-produced in 2027.

In the United States, the main focus is on start-up battery companies, which are supported by multiple factors such as academia, automotive companies, and capital. For example, Solid Power has partnered with BMW, Quantum Scape has partnered with Volkswagen, and industrialization is expected to take place from 2027 to 2030.

The reason why countries, car companies, and battery companies are competing to develop solid-state batteries is mainly because once solid-state batteries (mainly referring to all solid-state batteries) are industrialized, they will change the existing electric vehicle industry pattern and open up emerging fields such as electric aviation. This is a leading technological change in the world.

On April 27-28, the 5th International Exchange Conference on New Energy Vehicles and Power Batteries (CIBF2024 Chongqing) will be held grandly in the mountainous city of Chongqing. This summit focuses on the exchange of cutting-edge battery technologies, such as solid-state batteries and new material system batteries, as well as fast charging and energy replenishment technologies, with the theme of "storing the 'chip' for a long time and eventually reaching a thousand miles".
